Event Description:
Professional and amateur chili-heads will provide event attendees tastes of their very best rendition of this unique dish in the hope of winning the “Best Chili in Rogers Park, 2017” and the coveted First Place Golden Ladle of Glory, Second Place Silver Spoon of Second Chances or Third Place Bronze Bean of Better Luck Next Time. Attendees can expect vegan, vegetarian, pork, beef, green, red and every other kind of chili imaginable at the event.
HEAT IT UP funds Glenwood Sunday Market’s Food Access Programs which serve the 20% of Rogers Park residents who are food insecure including:
In addition to the chili tastings and cash bar, activities will include a Live Auction and a ton of fun.

- Market For All Double Dollar Matching Grants for Link Shoppers
- Community Shares which gives away food from our farmers to food insecure families
- Gleaning Project which brings local soup kitchens and food pantries to the market to share their mission and take up a food collection for their clients.
